Coleshill Youth Brass Win Again!
Coleshill Youth Brass recently made a 150 mile journey from the west of England to north Yorkshire to compete in the annual Hardraw Scar contest.
And although the weather could have been a bit brighter for their first appearance at the event, they band certainly made a great impression and had a fantastic time.
Despite soggy feet and some damp music they provided wonderful entertainment under MD Stephen Fagg for the enthusiastic audience and adjudicator Mareika Gray to enjoy — including a cracking march, music from 'Peer Gynt', a touch of The Beatles and even 'Tea for Two'.
The band was very happy with their performance and returned home with a trophy and with four of their youngest players, Andrew Livingstone, Oliver Tizick, Sam Edwards and Toby Ball each receiving £25 from the organisers.
